Present or Perform
The purpose of the Wisconsin Flute Festival is to inspire, educate, and entertain individuals of all ages and abilities. We’re excited to learn about how you can contribute to the Festival. Applications for proposals will open soon. The deadline for best consideration is 11:59pm on February 1, 2024.
The Wisconsin Flute Festival is now accepting proposals to be presented at the 2024 Festival. Individuals are invited to submit proposals for recitals, lectures, and interactive sessions covering an array of topics, styles, and concepts. The Festival is made possible by the amazing musicians, organizations, and companies from across the country who participate every year, and we look forward to reviewing your proposal to present or perform in 2024. All presenters and performers will receive complimentary registration to the Festival and be offered an honorarium.
The goal of the Wisconsin Flute Festival is to be inclusive, inspirational, and educational for all flutists, as well as serve the community of music enthusiasts. Diverse presentations that cater to a wide audience are especially welcomed and appreciated. Popular past topics have included flute choir reading sessions, technique workshops, performances and classes that highlight new works, creative pedagogy, ensemble repertoire, as well as body/mind work for flutists, and more!
Proposal Guidelines:
- Sessions are to be 50 minutes in length for a full program, 25 minutes for a half-program, or a single piece on a combined recital.
- Individuals may submit and have accepted multiple proposals. For best consideration, submit your proposal by February 1, 2024, 11:59pm CST.

Required Materials and Information to Include with Your Proposal
- Biographies and headshots for all participating individuals (1000 character limit/individual)
- Biographies and headshots for large ensembles (5 or more) will be collected later
- A short video approximately 60 seconds in length describing your proposed session. Your video will be used for promotional purposes if your proposal is accepted and may be edit at the sole discretion of Wisconsin Flute Festival. Videos must be in a portrait orientation.
- Summary of your proposed presentation or performance (2000 character limit)
- Reduced summary (800 characters) for use in the program book
- Equipment requirements (number of music stands, technology, piano, etc.)
- Materials supporting your proposal (recordings, videos, documents, etc.), website or files to upload
