Guest Artist Masterclasses
Applications for the 2021 masterclasses are now closed.
The Wisconsin Flute Festival invites flutists of all ages to apply for a spot in the masterclasses with our guest artists. Applicants must be registered for the Festival. Performers will be chosen based on a recorded audition and invited to participate in one of the masterclasses. Apply by April 1.
2024 Masterclass Opportunities

Masterclass Application Details:
- Flutists of all ages are eligible to apply and audition.
- All applicants must be registered for the Festival. Applications from individuals who have not register for the Festival will not be considered.
- Applications and recordings must be received by 11:59PM on April 1, 2024.
- Applicants will be notified of their status by April 6. Invited masterclass performers must confirm their acceptance by April 8. Failure to do so will result in revocation of the invitation to perform.
- All decisions by the Wisconsin Flute Festival are final.

Before you Register
To register you will need the following information:
- Contact information
- Biography (600 character limit)
- Headshot
- Statement of Interest (why do you want to perform, what do you hope to get out of the masterclass, etc.)
- Information about the audio recording being submitted
- If your audition piece requires piano, you must perform with an accompaniment. Flute alone pieces are welcome as well. Recordings must be unedited.
- Parent contact information (only for pre-college applicants)
- Private teacher contact information (if applicable)
Masterclass Details:
- Flutists of all ages are eligible to apply and audition.
- Invited masterclass performers will be assigned a 25 minute segment of the masterclass.
- Invited masterclass performers must be prepared to submit their program details (piece, composition date, composer, composer dates, etc.) upon notification of acceptance.
- The application fee is $35 (plus processing), and must be paid when applying. Fees are not refundable and are in addition to general registration fees.
- Applications and recordings must be received by 11:59PM on February 18, 2020. Your recording should have no identifying features on it. It will be assigned a random number before going to the review committee. Performers will be notified by late February 2020 of their status.

- Information about the audio recording being submitted.
- Please limit your audition piece to a maximum of 6 minutes. If your audition piece requires piano, you must record with a pianist. Flute alone pieces are welcome as well. Recordings must be unedited.
- Parent contact information (only for applicants under the age of 18).
- Accompanist contact information (if planning to use an accompanist).
- Accompanist biography (600 character limit).
- Private teacher contact information (if applicable).
